Senior Frontend Engineer (React/Next.js)

Role Overview

Join MTC, a pioneering, station-based electric vehicle transit network transforming urban mobility in Hong Kong. We seek an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer skilled in React and Next.js to refine our interactive transit web applications, enhance user experience, and optimize performance.

Responsibilities

  • • Develop and maintain efficient, scalable React/Next.js frontend code.
  • • Optimize performance and rendering of Google Maps integrations and WebGL/Three.js overlays.
  • • Collaborate with design and product teams to implement intuitive, responsive UI/UX.
  • • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications

  • • 4+ years experience in React.js and Next.js.
  • • Proficiency in Redux Toolkit, TypeScript, WebGL (Three.js), and Google Maps APIs.
  • • Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization.
  • • Experience with Vercel deployment workflows.

Preferred

  • • Previous experience in urban mobility or transit applications.

Business Development Manager (Government & Strategic Partnerships)

Role Overview

MTC is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to accelerate growth by building strategic partnerships with government bodies, private sector stakeholders, and investors. Your focus will be on securing collaborations, funding, and support for our innovative electric vehicle transit solutions.

Responsibilities

  • • Develop and execute strategies to secure strategic partnerships and funding.
  • • Lead engagement with government departments, transportation authorities, and investment entities.
  • • Facilitate negotiations, draft proposals, and oversee agreements.
  • • Represent MTC at industry events, forums, and conferences.

Qualifications

  • • 5+ years in business development, partnership management, or strategic roles.
  • • Proven track record securing government or private partnerships and funding.
  • • Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • • Understanding of the mobility, transit, or sustainability sectors.

Preferred

  • • Experience navigating Hong Kong's regulatory environment and transportation infrastructure.
